Often we forget to highlight the things we love about ourselves. Sometimes we just forget them, period. Usually we require others to help us to remember. But I wonder if we ever subconsciously realise how addicted we are to validation from others?
While I’m not opposed to having one’s ego stroked every now and then, why is it that I seem to fall apart when there’s no one around to give my ego a boost? Why do I seem to forget that I can prop myself up for a change?
Well, today I didn’t forget. I’ve realised of late that I have a lot to be thankful for. I realised that it’s important for me to affirm my worth, what’s awesome about me, and why I’m one of a kind. As a result, I’ve been working on seeking my own inner validation of late, which inspired this list. Courtesy of my age, here’s 28 random things I love about myself that no one will ever take away from me:
